*Boost skin hydration with TheFaceShop Chia Seed Boosting Essence - review and photos

When my skin is not properly hydrated, especially when I use skincare products that do not deliver the hydration what they are suppose to, I wake up with pillow creases on my face. Yuck!!! 

Before going out, I used to wake up earlier just to have time to properly moisturize and massage my facial skin in order to improve blood flow, otherwise I would have looked really scary. Really, my face in the morning was full of pillow creases and I was looking horrible, being impossible to get out of the house like that. 

 

Well, I am having a time when I don't experience them anymore and for this I am hugely thankful to TheFaceShop - Chia Seed Boosting Essence I am reviewing today. And I'm sure it's because of this essence, cause the face cream that I am using right now it's not a moisturizing one and used to get those pillow creases while using it.

Application:

My opinion:

Asian essences, cause TheFaceShop is a Korean brand, are actually serums with a lighter consistency and potent ingredients, offering numerous benefits for the skin. In case you don't know, Asian women have such amazing skin because they have a skincare routine and this is the order they apply products:

1. Boosting essence > 2. Toner > 3. Lotion > 4. Eye & spot essence > 5. Essence 6. Cream

The product I am reviewing is a boosting essence and I apply it twice a day:

- before applying cream in the morning

- when I go to bed at night, after facial cleansing

TheFaceShop - Chia Seed Boosting Essence - texture

 The essence is transparent, having kind of a jelly texture and it feels watery, full of moist when applied on the skin. I like spreading it on the skin and then let it absorb. It leaves a slightly sticky layer on the skin but after a while it feels less and less sticky. I only need to pump twice. I find TheFaceShop Chia Boosting Essence amazingly hydrating, moistening my skin extremely well, offering a slight glow which makes my skin look really fresh. 

Before using it, the skin on my nose was flaky and the foundation or BB creams made it look ugly. I swear that I can now apply foundation without using a scrub which never happened to me before!!! And as I said above, there are no more pillow creases...so, goodbye dehydrated skin! 

Although my skin is sensitive and I was afraid the chia seed extract will irritate it, I haven't experienced any skin breakouts, rush or itches.I also like this product because the ingredients are natural (glad to see that the main ingredient is not plain water) and it is dermatologically tested.

The essence comes in a 80 ml. matte bottle made of sturdy glass which it won't turn into pieces in case it falls down. I like that it comes with a pump, the active ingredients maintaining their properties intact that way.
